Adventure glitch

Hey Jammers!

I finally managed to figure out how to screenshot on my parents' computers. Whew. Anyhow, I was in the hard mode of Meet Cosmo with 2 friends, and it looks like some others tagged along...

None of the actual animals were really there, just their little icons. I did, however, find a lone Join Me chat bubble back in that cave there... If I tried to click it, nothing happened.

I know, I know, I haven't posted in the last few months. Animal Jam still doesn't work on my computer, and I can't take screenshots or video on my parents' computers. I'm sure I'll figure something out, cause I hate using laptops that aren't mine. XD

So! Anyway! I may be doing a few videos of Pokemon X and Y when it comes out, along with other things until AJ works again for me.

I can't log in...

Is anyone else having a problem getting into Animal Jam right now? I've tried logging in on all of my accounts, but no dots appear under the earth when it's loading the servers.

Okay, so! I was suspended for THREE DAYS for "personal info", specifically trying to share my Nintendo 3DS Friend Code (which is meant to be shared). Good job, AJHQ. *slow clap*

Anyway, I will be using my other account, HappyMarshmallow for now. I will be un-suspended on the 9th and will be using my Ravenpaw account after that.

Advice Page - Suspended for no reason

Hey Jammers!

I got this question from XxUnstoppablexX, a good friend of mine!:

"I just got banned/suspended for a day. I just typed a face. What should I do?!"


First up, don't panic. It's only one day. It could be worse!

I was recently suspended for no reason, too. You could try contacting AJHQ to say you didn't say anything bad, but they take a while to reply to emails, usually more than a day, but you can still try it.

If you have a back-up account or storage, use that to tell people that it is you and you got banned for no reason.

If you don't have much to do otherwise, you could try out some of these Animal Jam-like sites I play sometimes:

fantage.com
clubpenguin.com
poptropica.com

But explain to your parents that it was a mistake, so they don't get mad at you. 

What emoticon even gets you suspended, is what I'm wondering! o.o

I asked around on Animal Jam, it turns out that Animal Jam Clap was more popular than Animal Jam Jelly! So I redecorated the site and renamed it too. What do you think? Let me know on the poll in the sidebar!

Oh, and is there any way to redirect people to this blog if they type in animaljamjelly? Animal Jam Jelly is just a blank page now.

Monkeys Only Party

Hey Jammers! I'm gonna show you the inside of the Monkeys Only Party, since I didn't yesterday. When you first enter, it looks like this:

It's a tree-themed party, no doubt about that. You walk on a giant tree! On the right and left, there are monkey-only claw machines:

On the branch below the left claw machine, there is a music shop:

I recommend buying this if you're a member – it's pretty awesome music!

In the center of the party, there is the banana shop. Click the banana sign to get a mini banana bunch next to you!:

When you click on the desk/gate/hole/window/whatever it is in the middle, you can buy things:

Cool, huh? I like the giant banana chair!

Monkey update!

Hey Jammers! This update is all about monkeys. First of all, the animal monkeys returned thanks to jammers donating 100,000 gems in the Conservation Center:

And there is a Monkeys Only Party (which I will make a post of tomorrow):

AND pet monkeys will be the September Monthly Member Gift. But let's focus on the NON-monkey related stuff, shall we?

Sadly, the Alphas (yes, Shamans are called that now offically) are not here yet, but in the next update they will, probably. After all, it takes a while to get back from a year-long journey.

In Sarepia Forest, there is a new Coral Corner-like shop called Treetop Gardens:

There is one rare plant, the Tiny Tree, and 2 new plants, the Planter and Fern! The Fern is a lot tinier than it looks.

In the Summer Carnival, you can now trade your gems for tickets!:

I think you can buy 500, 5,000, and 10,000 tickets, but I'm not sure.

In another 2 weeks, the winning den for the Den Contest will be released:

I wonder what it could be? Another kind of castle? Maybe someone tried to draw the den from Beta?

There's a lot of other things, but I'll post those tomorrow with the Monkey Only Party!

Now for the Advice Page!

Ninif asks: "There is this person on AJ who keeps bullying me, how do I tell them nicely to stop?"

Well, you could always say "(Bully's name here), please stop saying those things. It is not very nice", or "If someone said those things to you, how would YOU feel?" Those are usually the things I say.

RainbowRider asks me: "I know this is the question you used in your example, but do you have any tips on how to get good rares? I'm horrible at trading, and I want to know how to get a few good items."

When someone declines my trade, I ask them what they want for the item.

If they say something specific, like "Reindeer Antlers", and you have it, then you can trade them. If you don't have it, ask if they want something else. If you have it, trade, if you don't, ask again. This can go for a while.

On the other hand, most people say something like "I don't know" or "rares". Ask what kind of rare items. If they still say "I don't know", make an offer of what you'd trade for that item. If they decline, ask them to buddy you, and you can keep trading later.

Of all things... don't overreact when they decline your trade. It's rather annoying, and it gives you less of a chance of getting that item. Nice traders get nice items!

Item and a rumor

Hey Jammers! There is a Mine Shaft Door in Jam Mart Furniture today:

Cool! I bought one, but it didn't quite fit in the doorway for some reason.

My friend SteelWing22 told me that Shamans are now officially called Alphas. Can anyone prove this for me? I think Shaman is a cooler name than Alpha. What do you think?
